Dredge Ball Joints 900 mm delivered by Dredge Yard to Van Oord

Dredge Yard delivers heavy duty ball joints to Van Oord in The Neherlands, a leading international company specialized in dredging, marine engineering and offshore projects.

 

The dredge ball joints handed over to Van Oord are suitable for pipe inner diameter of 900mm and working pressure of 30 bar. Those ball joints are of heavy duty design for pumping water and sand for long distances. To assure high quality, Dredge Yard tested the ball joints in its special equipped facilities in Turkey. The ball joints underwent thoroughly hydrostatic testing and they were tilted by hydraulic force to simulate working environment.

The whole production and testing was managed and controlled by Dredge Yard’s team of engineers with vast experience in casting, machining, assembly, testing and inspections.

All ball joints has been delivered by trucks directly from Dredge Yard’s facilities in Turkey to Van Oord in the Netherlands, to ensure shortest delivery time.

Heavy Ball Joints delivered by Dredge Yard to Saudi Arabia

Dredge Yard has successfully completed the delivery of the heavy duty Dredge Ball Joint 650 to a dredging company in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The ball joints delivered to Saudi Arabia are designed and manufactured by Dredge Yard.

The ball joints are capable for working pressure of 20 bar and discharge pipe diameter of 650mm. Wear resistant liner is assembled in the case to increase the life time of the ball joint. A rubber seal is provided in the case to make the ball joint water tight during pressure. Both of them, the case liner and the rubber seal are considered wear parts but the can be easily renewed.

These types of ball joints that have been delivered to S.A. have a 15 degrees tilting angle to all directions. The grease grooves are provided in the stiffened gland to reduce corrosion and the friction between the gland and the ball. The ball joint is provided with one locking pin to prevent the gland from any sliding movement during operation.

The ball joint will be used for transport of sand, gravel and stones from the Cutter Suction Dredger.

Dredge Yard establish new production facilities in Turkey

Dredge Yard, dedicated to the engineering, consulting and the production of dredging equipment and dredging technology, today has announced the opening of its new production line facility in The Republic of Turkey.

This is part of the Dredge Yard’s expansion plan for the production and assembly of several dredging components like ball joints, pumps, valves, turning glands, bow couplings and a lot of other dredging equipment needed for the dredgers and dredge pipe lines.

The new production facilities are managed by Dredge Yard’s subsidiary Dredge Yard Makina San. Tic. LTD.ŞTI recently registered in The Republic of Turkey.

Dredge Yard Makina San. Tic. LTD.ŞTI is located in the city Izmit of Kocaeli, surrounded by an industrial area including for heavy steel industry.

Dredge Yard Makina in collaboration with its partners in Turkey will be utilized for the production, assembly and quality control of all dredge components, using latest casting and machining technologies.

As part of the development of the new production facilities, Dredge Yard Makina has acquired special equipment to enhance its capability for higher production rate.

These new facilities will allow Dredge Yard to accommodate the rapidly growing demand of dredge related products with a high ratio of reliability and value for money.

UAE’S Dredge Yard fulfils major Qatar order

Dredge Yard has successfully delivered ball joints for the dredge pipe size of 1000 and 900 mm to MEDCO in Qatar, a specialized company in capital dredging works, port development and land reclamation in the Gulf region.

The ball joints for the pipes size of 1000 mm are suitable for 30 bar working pressure while the ball joints for the pipes size of 900 mm are suitable for 20 bar working pressure.

All the ball joints have been designed and produced in Dredge Yard’s facilities and with partners in The Republic of Turkey by using latest production technologies and casting expertise. Both types of ball joints undergo thoroughly tests and inspections during and after production as simulating working pressure and dredge ball joints movements.
